Recently I watched a tv show were an old smiling couple was giving an interwove on the success of the marriage. This sentence marked me "We lived in an era were old things used to be fixed" .
Once upon a time things had more value, from feelings to objects, things used to be repaired with care and love. Now days unfortunately we are too busy to take the time to fix things and loose important stuff from friends to objects...
But the good news is that in this world of consumism there is still some people who really care.
And I have found one on Etsy! Her name is ISOBEL and she has been making dressed, furry toys since the 1950'.

I read a book once called The Doll Hospital, and this reminded me of that, where toys were fixed again as good as new!
What a wonderful write up!!! I love how times seem to be changing, and going back to the "good old days" where we value the special items in our lives. Bravo.

Don't know if the book you read, Kirsten, on The Doll Hospital was meant to be a story - but there still are such institutions in the UK, and at least one of them is called The Doll's Hospital. The difference is that my Soft Toy Clinic is just for ANIMALS, not dolls! Have never been a doll person - and there is a whole different skill and technique involved (and I won't, nor want, to go there!)
