Agnes from BeaderBubbe and her Evil Eye Bracelet

It his been quite a "bad luck" period for me lately, so even If I am not that superstitious I ve began thinking that maybe somebody trown us the evil eye...but fortunately for everything there is a remedy :O)
And at Agnes ( mother of five, grandma of seven - love crafts, especially making jewelry) Etsy shop
BeaderBubbe I ve found exactly what I was lookig for:

Evil Eye Bracelet

With this I would certainly be protected :O) Plus it is really beautiful, modern and elegant.
I ve done some researches to make my article a little bit more accurate and I found this good definition of the evil ye: "the evil eye is a look that is believed by many cultures to be able to cause injury or bad luck for the person at whom it is directed for reasons of envy or dislike. The term also refers to the power attributed to certain persons of inflicting injury or bad luck by such an envious or ill-wishing look."

You can discover more about the "Evil Eye" by clicking here .

And of course you can discover more about  Agnes and her BeaderBubbe Etsy shop by visiting her blog

Interview with Etsy Seller Elise from elisethomas

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am a lampwork glass artist specializing in borosilicate beads, small sculptural work and mixed media. I live in a small rural town in Northern Colorado with my husband, two sons, two dogs, three llamas, 3 chickens and a cat.

Tell us a bit about your etsy shop

My current focus is on handmade glass birds… so in my etsy shop, I offer single glass bird beads in many colors as well and jewelry and garden art incorporating my glass birds.

Another type of bead I make from time to time is my Dragon’s eye bead, so my shop will always have a dozen or so of these available for purchase.

I am also involved with a talented team of etsy artists called etsy’s Helping Hands  that dedicates itself to using our talents to help others. To this end, I have created a series of handmade glass heart pendants, a percentage of which are donated to the team’s charities.

Your recent project

My most recent work is a series I call ‘Birds on the Edge’, which incorporates my glass birds with my handmade ceramics. This is a series of ceramic ring and earring holders that feature my glass birds. You can see more of these on my website , my blog: GlassEdges  and my facebook page: EliseThomasDesigns .

What is handmade for you?

I believe a handmade item is one which represents an artist’s journey. For me, handmade has as much to do with the process as it does with the product. It is this unique quality which creates meaning and a connection that exists only when buying handmade.

Interview with Etsy Seler Amber from thesetinytreasures

Tell us a little about yourself

I am a stay at home Mom of 4 wonderful children. Three of my children are girls and we love to imagine and dream together. This is how the Fairy Dust in my shop came about.

Tell us a bit about your shop

I have Fairy Dust and crochet items mostly for sale in my shop. I originally thought my shop would go a different direction, but I love the direction it is taking. Its so fun to see it evolve.

Your latest project? My most recent projects were actually requests from customers. I love custom orders and creating. It leads to other items in my shop! Here are the most recent items:

What would you do If you were not an artist? If I wasn't creating I think I would still be a stay at home mom. I love it. One day I would love to go back to school and get my bachelors degree (I have an associates). In what?! I'm not quite sure. Still have a little while to think about it though!
